I often thought to myself: why do satin bonnets all look so alike?
Black, beige, leopard print… What if we wanted color, out-of-the-ordinary patterns, a bonnet that truly reflects us?
I wanted to wear something different. Something more original, more personal, that combines hair care with a world I love: manga.
KORAÏ SATIN was born from this desire.
WHY LIMIT YOURSELF TO THE CLASSIC?
I found it a shame that an accessory we wear almost every day leaves so little room for personality.
We pay attention to our clothes, our shoes, our jewelry. We choose pieces that reflect our tastes, our passions, and our mood. So why should we have to set all that aside as soon as it comes to protecting our hair?
I no longer wanted to choose between a useful accessory and an accessory I love. I wanted both.
A bonnet that takes care of your hair, but also has something to say.

I have always loved worlds with a true identity, striking characters, recognizable symbols, and details that don’t go unnoticed.
Manga offered me precisely the creative freedom I couldn't find in classic beanies.
I then imagined bolder designs, color combinations, and patterns inspired by this world, to transform an everyday accessory into an eye-catching piece.
With KORAÏ, I want everyone to be able to find a design that speaks to them, whether they are a manga enthusiast or simply looking for a different style.

Creating original bonnets was the starting point. But I also wanted them to meet a real need.
That is why I am committed to pairing designs with character with a satin interior designed to support a hair care routine.
My idea was never to choose between care and style. It is to combine both in a single accessory.
AND THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.
KORAÏ started with a simple desire: to offer the bonnets I wish I had found myself.
Today, that desire goes further. With durags and upcoming creations, I want to continue exploring new designs, offer more choices, and evolve this accessory far beyond what we are used to seeing.
I want KORAÏ to remain a brand where people come as much to take care of their hair as to find a piece that reflects them.
