Koraï was born from the marriage between my West Indian roots and my love for Japanese aesthetics. Inspired by corals and kawaii, I created a collection dedicated to a hair essential: the satin bonnet. Each bonnet tells this story of gentle protection for textured hair, meticulous design, and thoughtful details for everyday use. Simple, useful, and aesthetic: the Koraï bonnet carries our origins and passions.
WHY LIMIT YOURSELF TO THE CLASSIC?
I found it a shame that an accessory we wear almost every day leaves so little room for personality.
We pay attention to our clothes, our shoes, our jewelry. We choose pieces that reflect our tastes, our passions, and our mood. So why should we have to set all that aside as soon as it comes to protecting our hair?
I no longer wanted to choose between a useful accessory and an accessory I love. I wanted both.

I have always loved worlds with a true identity, striking characters, recognizable symbols, and details that don’t go unnoticed.
Manga offered me precisely the creative freedom I couldn't find in classic beanies.
I then imagined bolder designs, color combinations, and patterns inspired by this world, to transform an everyday accessory into an eye-catching piece.
With KORAÏ, I want everyone to be able to find a design that speaks to them, whether they are a manga enthusiast or simply looking for a different style.

Creating original bonnets was the starting point. But I also wanted them to meet a real need.

My idea was never to choose between care and style. It is to combine both in a single accessory.
